Fairways is recruiting a Payroll Administrator for our Perth based client who operate within the food production industry.


Job Purpose


Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for accurately processing the weekly payroll.



Main Duties and Responsibilities


·         Process weekly payroll fulfilling statutory and business requirements

·         Produce weekly payroll reporting for management accounts

·         Process SSP, SPP and SMP as required

·         Input deductions and detachment of earnings

·         Maintain payroll reports for year-end audit

·         Maintain accurate filing systems

·         Support the Financial Controller with any other duties

·         Manage authorised holiday applications

·         Liaise with Managers and Supervisors

·         Ad hoc admin support as required



Required Skills


  • Previous working experience of Payroll essential
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is critical
  • Experience of Open People software desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Drives continuous improvement in own performance and in line with business objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills including planning and organising
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Attention to detail




Salary: £20,000 - £23,000

Working hours: 40 hours week
